"Check it out! I'm so glad we have our own car now!" This is a common phrase in our family.
For over a year we were dependant on whatever public transportation was available here in Panama. Some buses and taxies are in good contition, and there are times, when they are not overcrowded. But more often than not, they are packed beyond anything you would immagine in the US, and often without a/c.
It is such a blessing to have our own vehicle. For us, it's Thanksgiving every time we go somewhere! We do not fail to notice all the ways we no longer have to travel.

For the Jews, a new day begins at sundown. In Panama, it begins at Midnight. No surprise that there was a volley of fireworks hearlding the beginning of Easter and the Ressurection of Christ! I love listening to my boys recount Jesu's life with the excitement and simplicity of Child-like faith. THEN they want to get on with the egg hunt!
